Page 1 of RGB or S-Video?

As a DVD novice I am very confused as to which gives the better picture, RGB or S-Video.

In What HI-FI magazine they always say S-Video is superior but in other mags they say RGB is best. So which is it?!

As long as you`ve got an RGB enabled SCART socket on your telly, always choose RGB over S-VIDEO.

RGB (Red Green Blue) separates pictures from the DVD into the three component colours and is the purest form that a TV can accept.

The end result is that colours are brighter on screen
