Page 1 of Xbox 360 picture problem...

The picture on screen when using my xbox 360 is 0.5 inches too far to the right, how can I fix this, really bugging me. The gameube had a screen altering function, I can`t find one on the 360, any ideas? Thanks!

There isn`t one. Search for your make and model of your tv and you maybe able to alter the screen position and size to be correct. I had this problem with my 360 and had to use the engineers menu to get the best compromise between viewing TV, DVD and playing games. Dvds are perfect as I calibrated it with a THX optimiser on one of the discs, Tv and 360 are not perfect but are both slightly out in opposite directions so I went for the average as you can correct it for one input and mess up another. If you do find there is an engineer / service menu for your TV then do it at your own risk and before altering anything write down all the values in case you make it worse. Of course this problem only really occurs with standard definition screens. :B

are you using a scart cable by any chance?

I use the official component on my Toshiba 32ZP38, if that helps.

my tv is an hd up to 1080i CRT tv, and I am using component cables.

found the engineers menu and fixed the issue, thanks dvd dude!
