What ISP Do You Use With XBox Live?
NTL have been jerking me around for a couple of months and so I`m going to change ISP. Can anyone recommend an ISP that can be used with Xbox Live?
The Xbox website did have a list of certified ISP`s, but with the redesign of the site, I can`t seem to find the info.
I`m currently on NTL 2mb broadband, and the modem goes through a Linksys wireless router via ethernet for my wireless network (2 desktops, a laptop, and XBox via a wireless ethernet bridge - Linksys also).
I also don`t live in an area with Telewest, and my local BT exchange is ADSL ready. Any suggestions would be great.

Hi
if they`re p*****g you about, threaten to pull the plug on your
subscription. i reckon they`ll bend over backwards to help you.
if you do decide to change ISP to an ADSL provider, you`ll also
need to change your current network hardware setup, unless the
modem supplied by the new ISP has ethernet connectivity.
most of the "freebie" modems that they give away with free/cheap
connection fees are usually USB and have no ethernet connection.
you will normally have to pay a premium to get a new ISP to provide
you with a new wireless modem/router.

........is that gasoline i smell?

I can attest to that. Im moving to a non-cabled area and because my wireless set up only supports Cable broadband, its ebay for the router and off to ebuyer for a new one. As ste says, may just be worth yanking NTLs chain to get them going, because its a bit of a knacker ache to set up a new network when you dont need to.

Thanks for the advice. I think the plan of action will be to keep NTL for broadband, and get TV and phone from other providers.
