My ps2 is broken and I have been offered a US PS2 consideralby lower but i don`t know if it will play my UK games, anyone know? :/

It won`t play your UK games unless the US PS2 has been chipped to allow it to do so. So in a word, no, unless it`s chipped, or you get it chipped.
