Now playing Mafia: Definitive Edition.

Good game remake, looks gorgeous now and no extreme FPS lag.  The gameplay hasn't really changed though, bar some modern design choices like shooting, so not convinced a lot of modern gamers will like it that much...

So I just did full playthrough of DKC 1 & 2 from the SNES days on the Switch. Good fun
Managed to finally get some Move Controllers yesterday so we spent the evening playing Beat Saber. Absolutely brilliant. Great laugh too and really worked up a sweat.
Can't imagine ever beating an Expert+ level that I put on for the 2 or 3 seconds it took to die....

lol, sounds fun :)I played a bit more of star wars bf2, but it was a space mission, and I don't like them so much (it's not that I'm rubbish at them honest, and fly into debris while shooting rebel scum)

so played a bit of bioshock infinite which i never got round to, i had 1 and 2 on pc, PC was barely good enough for bioshock 2, so playing infinte on ps4 was very nice, looks so pretty :) Unfortunately I only got round to playing for about an hour, so didn't really do very much, but got to wander round the funfair type thing a bit :)

That is so cool.
Is the game as poor as the reviews suggest?
I thought Watchdogs 2 was OK and the premise of 3 too until I thought about what that much 'freedom' meant. It's like the whole advantage of being able to use different characters almost at will make some things too easy but also mean you lose the whole narrative of a story/central character?

I don't think it's poor personally, but I do think it's a bit like Death Stranding in that the game style is not going to be for everyone.

It's a typical Ubi game in that there are icons to clear and boroughs to clear and the core WD gameplay is much the same.

Where it changes is that it doesn't (so far) appear to have a set narrative, rather an overarching one of freeing London from the dreaded military contractors (think Serco and G4S but much more competent - not too much though).

A lot of your missions, or mine so far, is attempting to recruit random people and doing a variety of missions to prove Dedsec's worth before they join you.  In my opinion, this is what will separate the wheat from the chaff as the direction of your game is self-determined rather than placed in front of you as is traditional.

I've done a few of the main activities but having more fun helping out potential recruits or just wandering around and finding icons to clear in order to get more Tech points and collectables.

Time will tell if this is what gamers really want, but I think what they've done is pretty clever and as this evolves, they can put more effort into the story - which isn't bad, but could have done with a bit more work (from what I've seen so far).

Here's a good video on how they did this:
