Done the 8 Valkyries but not the final one. You can spend hours on side missions levelling up without progressing anywhere in the main story, that's great. I got to the top of the mountain and did the 3 tears in the mist place too.
Really top game.

i played a bit of Sonic Forces the other day, "free" playstation plus game. It was kind of fun, no idea what I was doing, I never had a megadrive so can't compare, but this has 2d and 3d bits. I probably won't play it again, it was all a bit too fast, which I know is the point, but don't understand how I got an A on one level :)

Shadow of collosus was other game this month, which I'd like to give a go if I get chance.

So I got and finished Shadow of... in a few days last week.
It's an iconic classic supposedly so I kept thinking 'It must be me, it must all click in soon.....' yet never did for me.
Graphically it's stunning in places (waterfall scenery...) yet I just kept thinking about the incredibly rich Zelda world and the characters and places they could add to the desperately barren lands...
Let me know what you think....

Just finished Watch Dogs 2 which was decent.
Still play so much Mario Maker 2 as there is pretty much an unlimited supply if new content. Sele t the difficulty you want and search.
Currently playing Ori and the Blind Forest. A great and beautiful Metroidvania game. First level done.

Thought Mario Maker 2 couldn't get any better and they announce this:

World Maker - basically allows the creation of whole new games, worlds and themes.

Lots of Retropie, so I've been playing Monster World IV for the Mega Drive. Got the English translation and it is a brilliant game. Also Soleil, aka Crusader of Centy. Zelda like thing with bags of Sega character. Also dipping into various things like SF2 Special Champion Edition and Sensi on MD

Outside of those I've been playing a bit of FIFA 20 and the Shenmue games (all three) on PS4. Got my eye on Hotshot Racing which hopefully will be launching before too long. All Sega vibes!

Being out of the loop on upcoming games, i usually use a couple of gaming-centric YT channels to find games I might find interesting. One such game was Inside (Playdead studios), a creep side-scrolling platformer, for lack of a better description. No story to speak of, no speech, no text. Just a boy walking from left to right, sometimes swimming, sometimes piloting a submersible, trying to figure out what's going on in his dystopian world where pigs are controlled & killed by parasites, and zombified humans can be controlled to solve puzzles.

It's both bleak & beautiful, simple & intricate. The ending may give you a bit of a 'meh' feeling, but the journey to get there makes it worthwhile, until you get the second ending, and realise what the game was really about.

The channels I usually view are Game Society Pimps and Game Grumps, who posted an entire walkthrough on their channel. Language may be a bit fruity from the start

Finsished Inside quite quickly, and while there's a second ending to be had, I've decided to stretch my new setup's legs and downloaded detroit: become Human, seeing as Quantic decided to take it away from Sony's grubby mitts and release it on other formats as well. It struggles in a few places, but tweaking the settings usually sorts any freezing issues

As for the game itself, the demo on its own was more than enough for me to fork out the £30 to get the full game. I'm probably about two thirds of the way through on my first play, but by all accounts the ending i'm heading towards is one of a possible 40, so once finished i'll probably start again straight away, but this time I'll make each character the polar opposite in their choices, see how that goes.

I also love that the entire premise of the game was sparked by their 'Kara' demo that was simply a test of the PS3's capabilities, discussed here in 2012. From tiny acorns...

I pretty much agreed with this review and thought it was a 6 or 7 kinda game.
