Metal Gear Solid 3...what`s the verdict?
Was considering buying this game as I really enjoyed twin snakes on the gamecube but was very disappointed with metal gear 2 as there was more emphasis on watching cut scenes than getting to control the character. Can anyone advise me to what it`s like.

REALLY hard.
Whereas before you had corridors and the sensor to show where the enemy was and where they can see, now your in a wide open jungle with just a motion sensor showing movement.
I think once I get into it properly I`ll love it like I loved the previous games, but it`s still growing....

Was never into the other ones. Put this on the other day, and sat through what must have been at least 20mins of intro before the game even started. And then there was ten minute conversation after that involving Snake and another character! :o
Oh my God, Bear is driving! How can that be?
RE: Metal Gear Solid 3...what`s the verdict?
yeah avoid it unless you just want to read hours and hours of boring irrelevant conversations..i thought the makers of this game would have taken to heart all the critisms about the first metal gear on playstation 2(bad camera angels, not enough action) well this is exactlly the same but way harder because now instead of you having coridors to contend with like before youve now got bushes and stones but the problem is the camera angel its way to far above you so u cant see any traps or gaurds until u hear the warning sound and by that time its too late youve already been twattted:(
but the thing that i hated most was the constant inturptions over your intercom with the screen flashing every minute that theres some importatnt info on your headset so u click onto your rtadio and then your just greeted with hours of text with this woman rabbiting on about old horror movies from the 1950s !! whats that got too dio with telling you how to find the missing nuclear weapons !! ..crap game id wait until the new splintter cells is out in a few weeks they are much better :P

It`s on par with the other titles in the Playstation Metal Gear series.
It blurs the line between video game, home entertainment and interactive cinema.
You either like em or don`t. I love `em, myself. It`s also worth noting that the game doesn`t pick up til a few hours in.

Trips to the video store for a quiet night in can be fun. But remember;
* Pick something everyone will like.
* Don`t be afraid to ask for assistance
* DO NOT peer through Mr T`s WINDOW on the WAY home, and LAUGH at him watching BRING IT ON alone with his trousers UNDONE!

RE: Metal Gear Solid 3...what`s the verdict?
Having loved both Metal gear 1 & 2, i was slightly dissapionted by this. And it wasnt harder, it was just (slightly) longer than the other 2. I know alot of people didnt like the endless cut scenes in 2, but i found it to be very good. But the story & cutscenes in this werent, it was just like a cheesy blockbuster movie (but with slightly better acting).
The jungle does indeed look fantastic, but it can get slightly tedious, u keep longing to see a building.
But without spoiling anything, i thought that the ending (after the credits) was Very good, i was waiting for a twist but didnt see that coming at all!
8/10
How long did it take ppl to complete? it took me around 14hours on the game clock.
But wen i do it a 2nd time (skipping da cutscenes) am pretty sure i could get down to half that.
You say pyscho like its a bad thing
