Gaming and Consoles Forum
Hi
Just gave in to temptation and bought an NGAGE pretty impressive phone as well as a Very neat games machine..
i bought a couple of games and being a bit new to this memory card/mobile phone business i looked into it..
is it legal or safe to download these games and install them on the NGAGE?
i have ordered a 512 mb card and am planning to put some movies and game son it... or those boring dinner hours and hours on the road.....
i figured out that you had to buy a Bluetooth thing for the USB too... its a QD by the way!!
you got mail ;)

It is perfectly legal to download Java games. If you want to download cracked N-Gage games then that is illegal. This also affects game sales which means publishers may stop supporting the N-Gage and a number of games have already been cancelled because of piracy on the N-Gage. You will need to get an MMC reader so that you can easily transfer data onto your MMC. Remember to format the MMC on the N-Gage or it will be unlikely to work.
I have got the original N-Gage and it has a number of features that are not on the QD such as stereo sound, radio, mp3 player (you can download one, but it will only have mono sound).
Which games have you got by the way?
Hi Thanks Oggy ...
i have got Tomb Raider legit.. but no bluetooth connecter yet.. cant i just download from that instead of using a card reader..
seems i should have gone for the old NGAGE then..

not necessarily, depends what you want out of it, the mark 1 n-gage has a stereo soundchip & supports mp3 (properly, tho you can (and will soon) get an mp3 player utility) + the built in radio, but the QD does look a lot nicer and is smaller + hot swappable memory cards are a real improvement over the mark 1, on that you had to remove the battery everytime you wanted to change a game/mmc.
