Buy a Scart cable with phono outputs for sound or even better one with optical out. Play do one http://www.play.com/play247.asp?page=search&r=XBOX&title=0&searchstring=dig&searchtype=XBOX&id=0&adudisc=y&cpage=1 or I got mine from sainsburys for £15 great RGB output. Once you have the cable enable the digital out in the xbox dash settings.

Hi, I have a Philips LX3750 (or something, it`s the dead skinny one with wireless rear speakers!) I have done all suggested here but can`t get the sound to come out of the receiver. I have selected "aux-dig" as source and there is a red light (optical cable) from the xbox end through to the receiver. Just no sodding sound!!
Any help or ideas???

Thanks in advance...Flyer...

Problem I have with my Phillips is the digital output on the Xbox cable side is the wee square connection (PCIM or whatever it`s called), however the digital input on the phillips is a co-ax connection. I have not yet come across a cable that goes from one to the other, I think this may be where others problems lie with Phillips amps ?

See if this reply stays on longer than the last???
Try maplins for "Optical to Coax" converter. A number of people have tried these but with varying results so I have decided to just be satisfied for now with DPL for my gaming needs. If you do get one and it`s not working for you, keep the receipt and packaging as they`re pretty good on refunds.
