Page 1 of advance wars help

I have bought a second hand copy of advance wars for the gameboy advance.

I cannot get it to delete the previous saved game so that i can start fresh with my name.

I have followed the instructions in the book but it does not do anything.

Has anyone else had this problem or know how to delete the cart`s memory?

I think you press and hold L+R+SELECT+START or something like that as you swith it on.

This I think is how u delete MK SC?!?!?!?
