Page 1 of XBOX mod

I was just wondering how hard it is to mod an Xbox by yourself. I`m only a beginner with the soldering iron though, I just about managed to fit a afterburner to my GBA but thats as far as my knowledge go`s I`m afaid.

I only really need it doing so I can watch multi region dvd`s on it, anyone know whats happening with Region X which should have been out ages ago?

If you aren`t sure of your soldering skills I`d advise against doing it. Depending on which chip you use, theres some mighty fiddly soldering to be done.

just had mine chipped i would recommend you get somebody to do it who knows what thay are doing.it could save you money i the long run.

if your a newbie, DO NOT consider doing it yourself the majoraty of soldering has to be done using the razor method (very fiddly) unless you ar an expert at soldering, also if you get it done proffesionally you can get the evo-x dash etc installed at the same time, don`t do what i did and kill your xbox :(
