Hello, i have an older second US XBox that has a dodgy DVD drive, i have ordered a new Samsung Drive to replace this one, but i need to get the plastic bit that is attached to the drive free so as to attach it to my new Samsung drive.
How do i get it loose?.....i am ready to pull it off by force, there must be a knack to getting it off.
Any help appreciated.

well you are the first i`ve heard you are doing this....so I could`nt help you - soz.
May I suggest ringing XBOX helpline, or even going to the xbox forum at xbox.com.
Theres loads of xbox nuts in the forum so it could be worth looking,

I take it that you have ordered the drive from premodded?
If so ask them. Very informative.

Yes, i asked Premodded how to remove it but the new drives come with the XBox face attached. If i need to remove it, i have to pull it upwards to get it off.
