Yes but a review said that the Ultimate DVD Platinum was a lot better than the rest?
Some say Video Essentials, some say Avia, some say Ultimate DVD Platinum. All will help get your tv and audio calibrated. At the price that Ezydvd are selling Platinum (see link above), I`d be tempted to get it.
I`ve just borrowed Platinum - have only run through the Video setup so far, but it`s certainly helped get things looking better.
One warning - some tests check things that you have no control over (the "Clamp" test, for instance), so you may end up miffed that yout TV isn`t "perfect".
I have sent off for this dvd and will let you know what I think about it!

although U.D.P. is region 0 it`s also ntsc, so you`ll have to set your machine to auto, or to play ntsc as well as pal. the reason it`s supposed to be better than the gold version is that it`s a two disc set. it also contains the blue filter strip needed to calibrate your tv or projector. I found the rattle test usefull to stop vibrating ornaments "jumping" off of shelves.

Richard is correct in saying that some tests are a little redundant on some tv`s, however us lucky blighters with component video equipped tv`s can reap the full benefits - for example the clamp test allows you to fully adjust the black level and use the tint control to get the best results, though i have to say my tv passed with flying colours!
If anyone has any doubts, don`t have any. This isn`t meant to be some sort of thing you use a million times, £12 will buy you a useful tool that will be very handy in the years to come. It`ll help you calibrate your tv/plasma/projector etc should you upgrade in the future, plus it has audio tests, one such being the very useful `rattle test` that Kevin mentions above!
Put it this way, it`s miles better than the THX Optimizer, which is tailored for the movie on the disc, not universal calibration.
Go on, buy a copy - you`ll be surprised how much of a difference it can make.
