Genius, to this day I can't remember why I went to see FAME at the cinema as it is so not my type of movie but it remains one of my all time favourites and seriously underrated imho, sorely missed
Midnight Express.
I saw this in the cinema when it was released, so 42 years ago. It hit me hard enough that I have no wish to see it again which means Alan Parker was right on the money with it.
A career that seems to have covered most genres and he didn't stuff up on any of them.

This is my Alan Parker film, still one of my all-time favourites.
