so saw it today, 1st time in cinema in months and after really looking forward to this as I loved the 1st one and was sorely   disappointed unfortunately ,  story seemed entirely created for the sole reason of bringing back Chris Pine, didn't feel connected to the characters, love story or even the limited back story the shoehorned in, The story was ridiculous and it made me think about the awful Nuclear superman story from back in the day. One thing do stay a couple of minutes into the creditsSPOILER:
Linda Carter :):):)

Now there's a film that started with a message and completely screwed up the telling of it. What a complete waste of time and effort. Well, Chris & Gal are okay, and they kinda do well with what they've got, but by jiminy that was a pointless story that no-one needed to see.

Aside from the mildly pretentious word salad in places. Yeah, I'd say he's pretty much spot on.

So shocked and gutted at how bad that was.
It should have been 80's all over with a great soundtrack and funny set pieces yet there was a bit of FGTH and that was pretty much it. Even a scene with a group of dudes breakdancing had opera playing as the soundtrack.
I'm not even sure there was an editor, it was so poor - I'm thinking of a few pointless scenes in particular, especially when they escaped in the 'invisible' plane and her flying through the clouds..
Really enjoyed the first one, sooo disappointed with this one.

I saw Sucker Punch a few years later on Blu-ray, I wonder what version I saw... I had no idea there was a different cut. (Checks shelf) Yes I saw the normal cut, should I be googling the differences? Is it like The Abyss Director's Cut and changes the meaning of the whole movie?
