Unplugged HDMI from back of monitor. Plugged it back in. Seems to have fixed the issue. Schoolboy overlook.

had it at work recently, customer on the phone, card printer wasn't working I asked if they had tried a different usb cable, he replied "you really are clutching at straws now" you could tell he was angry, but nothing else had worked.
sure enough, that fixed it :)

Aah, as there was no 'Thanks' or comment it was solve, I took it the opposite way as though 'head in hands', it was a silly suggestion.
Such errors are always a possibility with digital handshakes.

Nope, started happening again, and taking the HDMI lead out isn't fixing it this time

Once again, feeling a little foolish for concentrating on the end of the lead going into the monitor and not checking the end that was only 2/3rds of the way into the GFX card in the tower.
That said, i have swapped cables, and again, seems to be working.
