I`ve just pre-ordered the steelbook at HMV on-line for £16 for the blu-ray.
I don`t pre-order many titles these days as it upsets me to pay full price for a title & 3 months later its half the price, but as I already have the first two in the series I didn`t want to miss out as only HMV have the UK steelbook.
I really enjoyed the 3 movies, yes TDKR is a bit convoluted, but I never saw the plot twists at the end coming, so the surprise had the bigger impact & for me made it the best of the three.
RE: The Dark Knight Rises: Batman 3
HMV`s blotted its copy book with me after messing up its shipping of the last few titles - saying the titles had shipped in time for the street date and then they`d turn up a couple of days after.
Have you seen the Cowl Edition special packaging?

Have you seen the Cowl Edition special packaging?Yeah, I did see that, but I don`t really have the space for big special boxsets.
I`ve been tempted to buy previous edition special package sets like The Planet of the Apes head boxset or the Alien Head, but I don`t really have the space to display them. I like the Terminator robot head one well.
Having said that, The Planet of the Apes head was a bit too realistic, not sure I could get to sleep with that in the house

Very cool!
I got my Blu Ray on Saturday, the Imax shot stuff is just as stunning as you`d expect. And the audio, whoa, when "The Bat" takes off it just about shook the entire building down.
The film is still full of plot holes and things that annoy me slightly, but it is a lot of fun and has some awesome moments.

Just got a dispatch e-mail from HMV for my steelbook blu-ray. :-D
Chewie, where did you order your copy from to get it so early?

Got my dispatch email from HMV today as well, hopefuly we`ll get chance to watch it, rather than add it to the pending pile which is where the Prometheus Blu Ray steel book is sat and will be for some time I think :(

Well, for me.... Batman wasn`t in it anywhere near enough - often due to silly reasons.
Bane not a patch on The Joker as a bad guy.
Not as good as the previous one.
Still enjoyed it though. :)

We will pay the price but we will not count the cost..
As always I'm late to the party, just watched the third and final part of the trilogy (been working my way through the box set).
I really enjoyed it! Yes there was less Batman, gadgets, and Batman fights than the other two, but I didn't mind that. Probably because I'd seen the other two over the previous fortnight, so I'd seen more than enough of that.
In fact I think this time I enjoyed every movie in the trilogy equally. The first time round I loved the first one, and whilst I enjoyed the second I thought the Joker was over-rated and it felt overly long. Second time around I still loved the first one, but that was as far as I got with the DVDs.
So this was third time round for the first one, second for the second, and first for the third! All equally enjoyable for me.
I wonder how long before this gets rebooted... (yet) again.
