Does anyone else have problems with the goodmans dvd 3000????

My goodmans dvd 3000 player, seems to take a dislike to some dvds for no reason at all, it won`t play some dvds, whilst with others it may freeze or the picture may distort. Sometimes i have to turn it off at the plug as it freezes so badly. Is there anyway in which i can upgrade my firmware version or fix this problem? This dvd player also makes a lot of noise whilst playing dvds, it sounds like a ticking bomb, all in all this dvd player is a pile of crap, and to think i paid £170 for it, they must have seen me coming, If anyone can help, i will be eternally grateful, thanks Craig

I love my goodmans dvd 3000. Yeah some discs used to not play/freeze up but the majority played with no probs at all and you can play all the regions on it with the hack. I upgraded my firmware ages ago by getting the firmware disc for the oritron 600(same thing as goodmans dvd 3000). Did this by emailing oritron who sent the disc from hong kong. Have you informed whoever u bought this player off about this problem? Perhaps they have an upgrade disc. My main problem is that the remote is feeble and has broken and i cant get my one for all(which supposedly works on all dvd players) to work with my player.
