A new reimagining of the source material. Really?

Don`t really know what this would add to the series. With Buffy already being made into a new film already it looks like the Hollywood cycle for redoing itself is going to implode as it gets shorter and shorter.

A script is probably in development for a remake of District 9 as we speak.


In fairness to Singer apparently he wanted to remake it as a tv series in 2001 apparently but 9/11 changed the output at that time, but still, doesn`t seem much need, or anything that could be done well with it being separate and what at most 2.5 hours long.

He should have started the Superman franchise from the very start as well! To make us try and imagine his film as a direct follow on from Superman 2 was a huge mistake!?
