A movie for every year of my life

No reason really but I want to start watching a movie for every year of my life starting in 1969.

Any suggestions for 1969?

I thought 2001 or POTA were released then but they were 1968.

Or is there somewhere i can go to look at movies released in a certain year?

Ta.

Midnight Cowboy won the Oscar for the best picture that year.

I`d vote for Kes I think, but obviously it`s not an exhuastive list. Other films I`d suggest might be Women in Love, The Italian Job and yes....Paint Your Wagon! :D

I have no shame.

Was there any need for that ending though in Kes? What was it with British films back then?

It seems to me that the writers and directors of that 60s/70s and 80s, wanted the public to feel like s*** after watching their movies, no wonder Britain is such a pessimistic country.
