Hi there, I have noticed this on dvd at a promotional price and was thinking of getting it. The thing is that I have never watched it and was wondering if anyone could tell me if it is any good.
Thanks

You`re welcome :). I personally can`t wait. It`s been years...Now just have to wait for good ol` Malcolm in the Middle. Dangit I wish somebody would kick Murdoch`s ass and get him to release all these shows. I think they had been held up for music copyright probs, but sheesh the guy bought 3 or so FLOORS of an apartment block in NYC, surely he can afford to pay gratuities.

I dunno about that. I thought it was great when it first kicked off with Caruso. It got better with Jimmy Smits and then there was a transition to Dennis Franz deservedly getting much of the spotlight. Thought his partnership with the young blond guy whose name I forget was superb up until blondie went off the rails plotwise and was killed off.

Never seen it appear on terrestrial TV after that point...

Danny was the little blonde guy and I`m not really sure how he ended going off the rails in such magnificent fashion. Maybe the actor playing him had had enough of TV.

There have been a series or two on TV since then but on at really daft times. Zach from `Saved by the Bell` is now Sipowicz`s partner and it`s much more concentrated on Sipowicz coaching the new guy through being a detective. Plus there is a new Hispanic Captain.

Ah yeah, Danny. He was good, the Noo York banter between him and Sipowitz (and Smits `widow` - can`t remember her name now either...) was ace.

Didn`t the hispanic captain come in before Danny was offed? And Zach from `Saved By The Bell`? Wow...
