The new (R2) Superman box-set...

Hulk Smash! (Elite) posted this on Thursday, 20th October 2005, 09:44

Does anyone know if the new Superman box-set (containing all four movies) is exactly the same as the R1 one that was released years a go? Is the packaging any different? (eg. "fold-out" wallet type rather than the 4 individual cases?).

As you probably know, I am a HUGE Supes fan - I`m not sure whether to buy it... (I`ve aleady got the big-boxed/rental videos, video box-set, widescreen video, R1 Complete Superman box-set, and R2 Special Edition box-set! :B )

As far as i can tell it is just the original R2 boxset with the addition of superman 3 and 4 (which i dont think can be brought separately in this region).

I`m not too sure about the packaging but i`m guessing that, from the collection you have listed, you will have it all already

hope that helps

Seen this in the shops - it is suspiciously thin (maybe just less than an inch thick), inside I guess is a fold out with that horrible `2 discs on top of each other` packaging.

ooh goody! I was hoping it was a fold-out/wallet type (I`ve already got them seperately) :B Isn`t it a different colour from the R1 one too (blue instead of silver...)?

And one of the reviewers on Amazon.co.uk says 2, 3, and 4 are going to be realeased next year as extended/special editions! :D
