Anyone know of any good R3 (Hong Kong) DVD shopping sites?
Does anyone know of any good (and fairly cheap) R3 DVD shops online, because I am sick of buying Hong Kong films over here and finding them to be cut (sometimes by nearly half an hour - i.e. Jackie Chan`s First Strike).
The only decent Hong Kong films released on DVD over here are from Hong Kong Legends. If you`re a fan of HK films, support HKL and buy their discs! They release uncut versions of movies, including the normally-butchered Bruce Lee films.

http://www.dddhouse.com is a good one. Do not be fooled by the large currency as it works out quite cheap. use the http://www.xe.com/ucc
convertor to work out price

try www.hivizone.com or www.dvdasian.com, dvdasian in particular are good, the prices are not that cheap but they have a really good range and they will mark your parcel as gift (hello £32 import level!) and will send it from an individual rather than a company.

Thanks both of you for letting me know about these sites. I think I will make my first purchase from dddhouse.com. I`m going to buy a few old Jackie Chan movies, as well as The Accidental Spy.
Have you or anyone else out there used this site before? I`ll let you know how my purchase goes.
Chris.

Did any of them get charged import duties? I read the small print of dddhouse.com and it says all import duties will be payable by me. I`ve heard this can be up to £35!!
Would it be better to but 1 title at a time, or buy in bulk?
I usually use play247.com, who take care of import duties for you, but they do not sell Hong Kong movies (except the excellent Hong Kong Legends and a couple of other titles).
Anyone else had to pay import duties? How much were they?

No Chris,
You normally pay customs if the value of you product exceeds £18
However, this particular company marks the customs notice as a gift thus giving you a £36 allowance. So you should be able to get 36 quids worth of dvds excluding postage and packing without any hassle.
