I wouldn`t mind this one either. I managed to get the Japanese language Manga comic version years ago, but have never found it on DVD (or VHS). Fingers crossed.

Of curse, I remember ^_^ "Laputa" is a film from "Studio Ghibli" maybe you knew they for "Mononoke hime" or "My neightbore Totoro" or "Kikis deliverys service" and more others... well, If I`m not wrong all the copyrights of "Studio Ghibli" for all the world was buy for "Disney". But I don`t know if the have on mind sell out "Laputa" on DVD. They have on Usa and all the wolrd "Mononoke hime" and "Kikis deliverys service" onsale... but nothing new about the all others "Studio Ghibli" productions...

Well, if you are interested on it, check for future "Disney" or "Buena vista" DVD releases...

I don`t think it`s on DVD, but good new for me, I`ve taped it off the telly years ago and still have it. I think it beats Disney films by miles, Akira is the only few animate film that beat it. I also have Princess Mononoke on DVD and Valley in the Wind (all made by the same guy) on video. They are by far the best animate films I`ve seen and those were made over 10 years ago.

You should be able to find it at least on video, I remember seeing it when I was little in Hong Kong on a English Channel and the film was in English with Chinese subtitles.

I actually have laputa twice, both in English, one with chinese subtitles and one without (ITV). If you like it, than you should see Valley in the wind. But I really want to see My neighbour Totoro again and Kiki`s delivery service.

Well, actually I have "LAputa" in japanese with Spanish subtitles (I`m Spanish), "My neigbout Totoro" (Tonari no totoro) in Spanish doub since it was released by "MANGA fillms" here in Spain. I have too, "Kiki`s delivery service" in Spanish doub since "Buena Vista" released it in all the world about 1 year ago or more.

About, "valley in the wind" the true title is "NausicaƤ from the valley of the wind" and was the 1st movie from the "Studio Ghibli". Here in Spain was released by and a unknow distributor, long, long long long time ago. And was cut about 30 minutes of the film :( now the rights are bought by Dysney, and nothing know about the release...

I hope, all this movies will come on DVD, if not, I will get the original Japanese DVD`s ^__^ One way to get this films can be "FANSUBS". Fansubs are fans that translate and subtitle movies. All this movies was releases by "Fansubs" in japanese with English subtitles. And you can find on SVCD or VCD too.

If you all like Studio Ghibli fillms maybe you need to check for all their productions.... here below you can check some interesting links...

http://www.nausicaa.net/ --> great page in English.

Well, I hope you will like this information.

Sincerally,

MANDANGA
