Gawd, that`s taken me back! Used to love this show. London could WELL kick Lassie`s a*s, and definitely rip Benji a new one.

Chances of it being out on DVD look slim though. Found this site which seems to be set up for running petitions for old TV shows:

http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/showinfo.cfm?showID=5039

Don`t know anything about the site but they seem enthusiastic. Might be worth it? Other than that, know any good Canadian retailers? Maybe it`s been released on its home turf.

Oh, and (ahem) "Maybe tomorrow, I`ll finally settle down. Until tomorrow, I`ll just keep movin` on!"

Aw. ;)

There`s a voice that keeps on calling me
Down the road is where I`ll always be

Every stop I make, I`ll make a new friend
Can`t stay for long, just turn around and I`m gone again.

Maybe tomorrow, I`ll want settle down,
Until tomorrow, I`ll just keep moving on.

Down this road, that never seems to end,
Where new adventure, lies just around the bend.

So if you want to join me for a while
Just grab your hat, come travel light - that`s hobo style.

Maybe tomorrow, I`ll want settle down,
Until tomorrow, the whole world is my home.

So if you want to join me for a while
Just grab your hat, come travel light
That`s hobo style.

Maybe tomorrow, I`ll want settle down,
Until tomorrow, I`ll just keep moving on.

Instrumental Bridge

Maybe tomorrow, I`ll want settle down,
Until tomorrow, I`ll just keep moving on.

There`s a world, that`s waiting to unfold,
A brand new tale, no one has ever told,

We`ve journey`d far but, you know it won`t be long,
We`re almost there and we`ve paid our fare, with the hobo song.

Maybe tomorrow, I`ll want settle down,
Until tomorrow, I`ll just keep moving on.

So if you want to join me for a while
Just grab your hat, come travel light - that`s hobo style.

Maybe tomorrow, I`ll find what I call home
Until tomorrow, you know I`m free to roam

:D

The Littlest Hobo follows the adventures of a highly intelligent German shepherd named London, who wanders the country, befriending people in trouble and helping to remedy their situation.

He then declines their offer to adopt him as a pet, leaves them, and continues his hobo life.

Among the names given to London by his human friends are Smoke, Einstein, Scout, Mr. Magic, Lucky, Shadow, Buddy, Slapshot, Roamer, Crusoe, Ulysses, Hercules, Sinbad, and Gulliver.

More here from the original film, the 60`s b/w TV series & the later colour ones

"Great chunks of my past detaching themselves like melting icebergs"

I hope they release this on DVD, but I think the chances are slim even though they`ve started doing other classic kids shows such as Wonder Woman and the like. I`ve got some Littlest Hobo VCDs but I think that`s the best thing I can make do with until they may decide to release it on DVD. There are also some officially released videos of it, with sleeves, which I managed to pick up on eBay.
