I`m sure this question has been asked before, but...
Are there any R2 DVDs which contain full-rate DTS audio?
The only one I have is Queen Video Hits 1, and it sounds amazing.

Just as I thought. I hear there are a few R1 titles with full-rate tracks, but I don`t have a multi-region player... still!
Thanks anyway!
I think the R1 version of Saving Private Ryan is fullrate.

There are no R2 full rate dvd`s.Look out for R1 early discs that carry DTS only with no DD 5.1.I`m not 100% sure, but I seem to recall a news item somewhere stating that for an unknown reason these discs were region free.
If you do get them, you should not notice any difference to the current DTS discs.
I heard that Hero R3 was a full bitrate DTS track. I have it but I don`t know how to check it? :/

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, no matter how wrong it is ;-)
Just checked my order history on CD-WOW and the Queen Video Hits DVD I have is actually region free, not region 2. But it is a full bitrate DTS track, with no Dolby option, only PCM i think.
So, if you want to listen to a full bitrate DTS track and don`t have Region 1 capabilites, i`d recommend the purchase of the Queen DVD, the sound is f***ing awesome!

Can I be a little cheeky and ask you for an *honest* answer? Can you actually tell the difference between 1) `full` rate DTS & errrr `Std` DTS (shared with DD track) and 2) DTS and DD
I`d personally say it depends on i) the film ii) the type and style of music of the film iii) your AMP & finally but most importantly your room ascoutistics, speakers and their placement within it.
Sorry to stir and be a little OT :/
I can`t tell the difference between DD & DTS on the shared disks that I have, except for T2 which I think sounds better in DTS.
Now, I don`t have a half bit rate or dolby track to compare the DTS mix of Queen to because it doesn`t exist, so to compare the DTS track on Se7en to the DTS track on the Queen DVD is impossible, they are two completely different things.
Now, Rik Booth will totally disagree with me with regard my first point, because if you look through his reviews of discs that contain Dolby and DTS tracks he always says "the DTS track is sharper blah blah blah" whatever that means, you`d have to ask him.
All I am saying is that I have the Queen DVD Video Hits #1, which contains a full bitrate DTS track and the sound is awesome. If there were a halfbitrate DTS track it may very well be just as good to my ears, but I couldn`t say as it doens`t exist.
