Does anyone know whether the Region 2 disc will be getting the same treatment as the 30th Edition R1 Disc? I want to buy this for the girlfriends birthday but am willing to wait for all the extras.

There`s never been any announcement to suggest that we would get this in the UK, I`m afraid. The version that you mention, with all the extras - including an audio commentary with the "Wonka Kids" - only ever came to pass because of the negative feedback the original disc got in the States. The same thing happened with the first issue of "The Princess Bride", which received enough condemnation that a special edition was soon released, with 2 audio commentaries and a wealth of other material.
So, it seems unlikely that "Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory" will be re-released here...shame, isn`t it?
