Although I`m terribly displeased with the BBC for thier lame no-extras DVD of this cult classic series, I` very tempted by it, knowing that th r1 set is missing musical numbers for copyright reasons.
But is the UK DVD of series one complete, or cut too? I`ve had no info on it.

I`ve been a tad sad and watched most of series one with the scripts in hand and am pleased to say there are no cuts! Did have my concerns when I saw how UK Gold had messed with a couple of episodes, but all is well. Any news on series 2 anyone?

Thanks, I`ll place an order now. I just hope the quality`s a lot better than the BBC`s FAWLTY TOWERS releases, which I`ve just had. Appaling unnecessary over-compression, with pixelation and in some cases, complete detail loss on backgrounds whenever there`s much going on.
BBC puzzle me with their DVD releases, some like THE LEAGE OF GENTS releases are excellent, wheras FAWLTY TOWERS and BLACKADDER Series 1 are terribly done. Maybe they just have one bad authoror working for them, who`s responsible for these titles?
Is ther a contact e-mail for the BBC regarding thier DVDs do you know? I feel like I really need to complain about the FAWLTY TOWERS ones.
