Top of the morning to you all.

With Spidey on the horizon, i thought it a good idea to start 3 generic threads relating to the big releases, so that you can all contribute in one nice tidy place, and NOT in several threads that just get strewn across the software forum, (and eventually, lost).

So, if you have anything to say about Spiderman SE, whatever region, please post here from now on. Lets keep the forums tidy!!

Well peeps, as i recieved my Spiderman SE a few days ago, i thought i`d post a few quick thoughts here.

First thing was the picture quality, NOT what i was expecting. For a new release there`s a fair amount of dirt and grain in the transfer, which is disappointing as i was expecting a razor sharp transfer. I read a review of the Region 4 copy which the reviewer raved about, here; http://www.michaeldvd.com.au/Reviews/Reviews.asp?ReviewID=2068
,so i`m wondering whether the PAL release is the one to go for over the R1 Ntsc.

Sound was another surprise, the soundstage is quite engulfing during the action scenes, but anywhere else the surrounds are very very quiet, and the sub doesn`t get the full on workout i was expecting either. Strange...

Still, this will no doubt sell by the truck load, a great movie indeed.

I was expecting a crisp Transfer of Picture and Sound.

Still , can`t wait for my copy to arrive , really looking forward to it .
