Hi guys,
Just wondering which region DVD of Blade I should go for. I have read on the Rewind comparison site that the region 1 version (Platinum Series) is uncut and the R2 one had some minor graphic scenes removed. Then to confuse me some more a few people said that there R1 copy of Blade was not uncut (a Canadian release maybe?). So do any of u fellas own R1 Blade & is it uncut, here`s a list of the cuts:
Cuts to blood spurting from necks becuase it`s "too graphic". Also, this version removes some footage from the scene where Quinn captures Blade: when the henchman`s hand is obliterated by his booby trapped sword, the uncut scene shows the henchman licking his blood pumping stump, but in the cut version all we see is him sticking his tongue out

i ordered my copy of blade (region 1) from cdwow for £10.99 & i can confirm that it is uncut.

AAARGGGHHHH :(
Well I ordered it from CD-WOW & they sent me the f***ing Canadian release which is cut *sighs*. But with one quick phone call & me explaining that there is two different New Line Platinum Editions they are giving me a full refund & even paying the return postage aswell :)
Just posting this as a warning though cos if the site description says that it has French Subtitles & French Audio AVOID cos it is the s***ty Canada version.

Amaray (the uncut USA one is in a snapper case). U can spot the Canada one a mile off cos it has french writing on the sleeve & if u turn the sleeve inside out theres a totally French version of the cover.
NEwayz the easiest way to tell the difference between the USA & Canada versions is that the Canada one is rated 18A & the USA one is rated R

i think it`s just pot luck because my mate has the region 1 snapper case and his is cut.

movie_buff is there any numbers or codes that would help me distinguish the cut one from the one you have? (also what rating is ure uncut version)
