Pity Region4, for once - looks like that`s all they`re getting!
Absound has a decent price for the Canadian (i.e. Philosophers) R1 - works out at about £13.50 odd delivered.

At Futureent.com it`s only £12.99 all inclusive and no problems with customs - got hit by customs for another absound order today. These guys have been great but last time I order because of customs!

Interesting that they`re listing it as Philosophers not Sorcerers - maybe they`re getting Canadian ones in. Also notice that the release date is 7th May - thought R1 was 27th. Might be worth checking up with FutureEnt, as it`s a great price!

Could somebody educate a novice as to what Pan & Scan means and why it should be binned??

Cheers

They zoom in on the film so that it fits the whole screen (4:3), thus chopping off the sides & you don`t see the full shot (as the director intended).

....and as that film is in 1:2.35, a lot would be lost.

We do have to remember that on a 4:3 tv, though, a 1:2.35 film does look very small (height wise), so pity the non widescreen owners.
