ordered mine today !! saved £150 on Curry`s price excellent deal for a five disc changer,dolby 5.1,surround sound, fm radio with sub woofer.Replaces the stereo as well as a DVD. Bought at the store ,by the way

Seen the great deal that comet r doin. Iam thinkin of buying one but on the other hand am considering the toshiba 210e as it plays more formats.
Some questions: 1. Does anyone have the panasonic and how is the sound on it? 2. Can u make the panasonic myultiregion or any other hacks for it? 3. Is is good getting a built-in amp and dvd player, wat if one breaks down or something? 4. The panasonic is not dts, i`ve heard the dts a american version of 5.1, true?

3 - exactly - this is the main problem 4 - not really, although many more US discs have DTS, they (in 99% of cases) also have DD5.1 as well. Where there is a DTS only disc, there will be a DD5.q

Also you`re unlikely to get as good a system with an all in one, but convenience may outweight this. 4 - not really, although many more US discs have DTS, they (in 99% of cases) also have DD5.1 as well. Where there is a DTS only disc, there will be a DD5.1 version too, so don`t panic!

ok, so overall is it worth buying hte panasonic or paying about £50-£100 more and purchasing a sep dvd player and surround kit inc dts?????

You can fit a mod chip for multiregion, but this set up is an all rounder in one box,check here for one review

I saw your reviews on the Panasonic SCHT70, I`ve just bought one today from Currys £299 - they said that it would have to be ordered from the warehouse as the store was out of stock.
