Asda have the recently discontinued Pentax K100D digital SLR camera for £229.97 including 18-55 zoom lens and a camera bag.
Cheapest dSLR I have seen!

a bargain price. The Super version is out now and adds an anti dust feature but nothing else AFAIK, will cost about £60

The silver version of the Fuji 5700 seems to be selling on the Jessops website for £129-99 The black version is going for £111-70 on the Amazon.co.uk website. The one problem with this model I believe though is the lack of Image Stabilisation.
There seems to be a new model the Fuji S8000fd, which includes x18 optical zoom, uses both SD memory cards and xD, 8MP and face detection. I think it stabilises long zoom images by increasing ISO and CCD image shift. Amazon are selling it for £203. It looks pretty good - anyone seen a review?

I did hear that Asda sold off some S5600`s about 6 months ago for £50!!
I am using an S5000 that I bought off a friend and I`m really impressed with it after using fairly cheap compact digicams for the last few years.
Will keep my eye out for any reductions over xmas.

I`m toying with the idea of getting a dSLR and was looking at this model as I have some old Pentax lenses, but as it was £299 I gave it a miss. Noticed the other day in ASDA at £249.99, maybe it`s a local reduction or national and they`re all reduced again. Must resist temptation and not look in ASDA tonight...........

See at this price in Huyton, Merseyside and Manchester Eastlands. Both had the new K100D at £399.
Didn`t see a Fuji S5700, but the S6500 was down to £166

Paid just over a ton for my 5600 some time ago and never regretted it, fabulous pics! Great camera. £50?? that would have been a real bargain!
