Can anyone help me with the following? (Both cheap products, so I figured ‘Bargain Buckets’ rather than ‘Hardware’)
1. Does anyone know anything about the Grundig GDV520-HT all-in-one system? Saw one for £150 in my local Currys. Does anyone know if macrovision can be disabled on it (as I’ll need to run it through a VHS as it’ll be on an old TV with no SCART)
2. In one of the Dansai 852’s threads, I remember someone had problems with movie sound. Anyone else had sound problems? Also, anyone know what sound outputs it has?

Your right, For some reason I got poor sound on a region 4 music dvd, Sounded quite "Hissy" (One for a better word) and the same problem on a few other dvd`s. Whether it was my player I dont know, Havent read any other threads about this "Hissy" problem.
Other than that the Dansai is a good player!

My Dansai sound is fine. The problem I posted is that it was quiet. I found out that this is due to the the DTS/5.1 output which I am sending to a stereo TV/HI-FI. I have one DVD which you can can select STEREO output (Boogie Nights) suddenly output volume doubled. So it was a `compatibility` problem rather than any problem with the player itself. It`s turning out that the Dansai rocks. Someone has now found a remote hack for Region as well.
