Hope they still are doing it! (woolworths) - I used your link to buy it at £8.99 + 1.50 p and p. It seems to be out of stock at play.

I bought my Iron Monkey from Woolworths. I thought that offer ended. Still £10.49, £10.99 not that much in it.

PS Is this film better than Jet Li`s Black Mask? cos i thought the martail arts in that were fantastic, best ive seen etc. Oh and why is it rated 12? cos it says 18 on the cover. No martial arts movie rated 12 can be good

I`m afraid that your sweeping generalisation is utterly wrong. The film is rated 12, and it is fantastic. As myself and 10 other reviewers can testify:-

This film is the most kung fu intensified 12 out there. It is 1000 times better than black mask IMHO. Tons of fights blended with a fantastic storyline, miramax were right to buy the rights of this classic movie.

PS DO NOT BUY THE s***E SEQUEL LIKE ME. The sequel was filmed in 2 weeks and Donnie Yen appears in it for like 1 whole second.

An MA flick doesn`t have to be an 18 to be good!
"Iron Monkey" is one of the best and is only a 12 (as is CT,HD). Other classics like JC`s "Miracles" feature astounding fight scenes and are only PG.

Received it today!
I have to say no ones praise has done this film justice.
It is a masterpiece.
I only have 5 kungfu films and although they are good this film just reaches a new level.
The print itself is immaculate. The extras are also good.
Can anyone recommend any other Hong Kong films which come close to this?

the "once upon a time in china series 1,2 ,and 4 china/america part 3 yet to be released by hong kong legends but available from ddd in its hk release form also magnificent butcher is good all available at reduced prices from play under 18 etc
