just been into my local tescos and on the reduced rack were 3 packets of uniross rechargeable aaa 250mah bateries at 1.24 a packet i was told by a tesco worker that they are ending the line in these batterys thats why they are selling them off cheap.

that`s possibly because 250mAh is pants by today`s standards!
the rechargeable aaa batteries I bought about 5 yrs ago are 550mAh and my latest set are 900mAh
