Like the header says there is a Tevion 42" HD Ready Widescreen Plasma TV available at Aldi for £999.99, from the 1st June. On paper this looks great - BUT I have absolutely no idea if this is the case in reality. If you`re interested in this, I`d suggest getting down to Aldi at the earliest opportunity, as a lot of these special offers have a strictly limited availability, and go really quickly. I got one and it seems fine, great picture quality and HD ready when "her indoors" lets me buy the new Sky box, Comes with a 3 year warranty which would cost an extra £200/£300 in most stores. Easy to set up and the Footy looks great on it especially when hooked up to surround sound.

I think all of these have problems with blacking out when connected via SCART lead.
