Just discovered a website that does Hitachi Widescreens with 90 day limited warranties at some tempting prices.

http://www.cheapesttv.co.uk

36" C36WF830n for £999 !!
32" C32W511TN with Pro-Logic for £479 !!

Just cant decide if the limited warranty is worth the risk!

Contacted them about warranty - this was the reply:

"The warranty is for repair or replacement
if we can not repair the unit. the sets are
run for 24 hours, to ensure perfect working
order. Power network ltd carry out the repairs.
Extended warranty is available from General
and Domestic. Cost of £171 for 4 years."

The above warranty price was for the 32" models.
May make some of the more expensive models worthwhile...especially if you are in the habit of buying extended warranties.

Has anyone got any experience of these people?

I am looking for a new TV and their prices are bloody good (especially for the 36") but this all looks a little dodgy.

Their website looks dodgy with very little info, have spoken to them and that seemed dodgy...............blah, blah, blah!!

Suppose the answer is not to bother, but a 36" TV for 900 squid, soooo tempting!!!!!

I contacted these guys as well but did not fancy the risk.

However....
For used cheap 32" Philips TVs from £320 read the thread in the Hardware forum about cheap 32 TVs.
