NOT DVD-related..is it me, or is this a good deal??

I have been reading about this deal on another BB. It concerns mobile phones. Have a look at this site

http://www.dialaphone.co.uk

and in particular the Nokia 3330 on Vodaphone with 6 months free line rental and free phone, connection, 4 facias, hands-free kit, leather case etc!! Now, this geezer has worked out a wheeze. The line rental is £13.99/mth incl. £2 itemised billing charge. You get the first 6 months rental refunded (but not the itemised billing), so over the 12 month contract you will pay a total of £95.94 (£13.99x 6, plus 6 x £2 itemised billing). Now then, here`s the really interesting bit. For this you are entitled to 600 mins/mth of free off-peak calls. So what? Well, what you do is SELL the Nokia 3330 on ebay/QXL/freeads etc. (apparently, all vodaphone phones are unlocked so can work with ANY sim card) Have a look, these are going for over £100 currently, and KEEP the sim card to use in your existing mobile (can be unlocked cheaply if need be). Result? You have qualified for 5 hours of FREE off-peak mobile calls per month, and probably made a profit on the deal! Forgot to say, if you order online, you will also receive an Olympus newpic XB APS camera worth £25 (which can easily be sold for £12). Can anybody see any problems with this??

PS Forgot to say, once you have ordered your phone, you will receive £20 for each friend you refer who orders the phone!

Check out www.bigbluespot.com - free sim card, no line rental. No free calls, but peak calls are only 12p / minute. I`m thinking of getting one for my wife, as she only uses hers occasionally.
They were also offering free Eriksson T10 too (ok not a great phone) but are out of stock at the mo.

Another option worth considering...
With BT Cellnet you can get yourself a decent phone by joining up on a monthly tarrif and then after 2 weeks phone up and say you want pay the whole years line rental in advance. For the £13 a month line rental it only costs around £50-60 for the whole year- I did this a few months ago so cant remember the exact amount.

This means that you can pick a decent phone and get some free off peak phone calls for just £72 (£60 + £2 monthly itemised billing).

I chose the BT Net100 package which gives 100 minutes anytime and relatively cheapish calls the rest of the time and this cost me around £80 for the whole year - normally £18 a month - and got a decent Nokia 8210 out of it.

I joined on the cheapest monthly tariff and then changed to the dearer one when I arranged the 12 months advance.

I`ve got a good idea.

Why not sign up to Orange Everyday 50 subscription, get free phone and connection, only £15.50 per month line rental with 50 minutes of off-peak calls free every day.

Then again you might not.
