Well finally purchased a colour laser, as title says! Spec is good, price is good, review
is good. Pitty about replacement colour toners but tired of inkjets. I have the samung
ML1510 which I am pleased with, but this seems a bargain printer! Purchased from

Ameiva.co.uk

May be of interest.

Its a verry good spot as it seems to be at least twice the price elsewhere.

Tempted.

A good spot. I think this is a re-badge of the Lexmark 510N. Very good speeds for the price colour and mono.

The standard package for the Tally version includes Installation, Free Black Toner and 2 years on-site warranty. The page at Ameiva doesn`t mention the warranty period, but even if only 12 months it is a steal. When the toner runs out though you will probably want to buy a new printer!

Just remeber it is not lightweight!

Arrived this afternoon next day delivery. I have the option for a engineer to come and set it up as well, can not be bad!. Also ordered the extra toner saving £95.00 plus. Also have the option to go with a care for life program which will extend the guarantee to five years as long as you buy the consumables direct from Tally this will give you next day service call out. If you do they will reduce the price of toners buy 10% on every purchase but you do commit to buying from them. At the moment they are cheaper than most.

Hope this help any one thinking of buying.

For the cost of the toners, I would say its cheaper to buy a new printer. ;)

On that point, are the cartridges supplied full size ones or are they "starter carts", thus making you buy new carts within weeks? Like my Samsung (which I refill anyway). :B

Don't forget that the printer already comes with a set of 1,500* page toners. How long would it actually take you to print 1,500 pages we wonder?

I think we hit 800 prints after 18 months of ownership with the Samsung starter cart on its second filling.

As that printer is now almost 2 years old, this is looking a quite attractive replacement purely on the basis of colour.

Toners supplied are 1500 prints at 5%, sorry I am not sure if thats 1500 black plus 1500
colour making 3000. The free black toner is a full replacement giving 10000 at 5%, so lets say 11500 total at 5% coverage for £150.00. So divide 150 into 11500 works out at 0.013 per print not bad based on black. Plus the option for colour. As to keeping it I don,t know depends if your happy with the printer plus other options the manufactuer may offer. All i can say this package is very good.

Regards
