Imy - I just checked www.mobileconnectionsonline.com and can`t find the 6680 at anywhere near £10 per month over a 12 month contract.... 500 xnet minutes... 100 texts. Perhaps you could be more specific? If you go on the 3 network you really would be better with a Nokia - and your link doesn`t seem to have any Nokias on 3 on any deals.

Depends what you want from a phone. The 6680 can be used as a sat nav system if you like...mp3 player...very good phone... plus you get the backup support of the CarPhoneWarehouse (if you phone goes wrong you can take it to them for repair and they will give you a loan phone until it is fixed).

If you want something cheaper than that try :

18 months free with a 18 month contract!!! 6630 phone - still a very good phone.... BUT I know nothing about this company and how good they will be for giving the cashbacks. Seems too good to be true.

wow that http://www.phones2udirect.co.uk/Products/type/phones/ProductID/5343/NetworkID/48
deal has to be too good to be true. I`ve been searching for ages for a phone since dial a phone stopped giving out good deals. I`ll check all the small print tomorrow. :)

crapfood.... You don`t have much to lose. The 6680 is a `Clearance` phone which means it could have a damaged box... but in any case if you don`t like it I think you can return it to a CarPhoneWarehouse branch or send it back within 7 days. I actually have a referal link which would have made me £30 - and I would have split it with anybody who used it. Anyway - glad you made use of the info. I have the 6630 via the same company and am very happy on 3. Just make sure you send the bills in on time as instructed.

Edit : Crapfood... I hope you understand how these deals work. They can be a little misleading. As per the website

"Your first 3 months will be billed at £15.00* by 3. 3 will then bill you at £30.00 per month for the remainder of your contract.

A further credit of £30.00 will be raised by cheque after 1 month if you do not cancel your contract. This may take up to 60 days to be received by cheque. You will receive a text message and/or e-mail when this credit has been successfully raised

To gain the remainder of your line rental / cash back please send your 4th, 8th and 12th monthly bills within 28 days of receipt to us and we will credit you by cheque with £55.00 each time.

This will save you £240.00 over the 12 month duration of the contract. In effect this means that your average line rental per month over the contract period is £10.00 per month."

So you are paying the EQUIVALENT of £10 per month over 12 months.

If you have been misled and are unhappy simply ring E2Save and cancel - and refuse to accept delivery.

The other offer on the 6630 is the EQUIVALENT of £0 per month - but has slightly tighter conditions on cashback terms..... and it is a company which is relatively unknown. E2Save is not likely to go bust in the next 12 months as it is a sister company of the CarPhoneWarehouse.

I have been using deals like this for the last 3 years.... changing contract each time my 12 months is up, getting a new phone and another good deal. I have never paid more than the equivalent of £5 per month and every year get a better phone and a better deal.

I think you only have 2 weeks to get your bills in. Whereas you get 4 weeks with E2save. To be honest I haven`t looked into it in too much detail as I don`t need a phone... but other people have and the only concerns are you have to remember to get the bills in in those 2 weeks (potentially a problem if you are on holiday I guess) and whether the company is reliable.

It may be apparent that I am a fan of these phones.... I only ever used mobiles to phone and text before I had the 6630... but I love having TomTom navigator on this phone.

I have been with 3 network for nearly a year 500 xnet and 100 texts/ month ...cost me £4.99/month after rebates....but I can`t wait to get on another network..

3 is CRAP!!

Coverage is CRAP!!

customer services based in Mumbai, India ...they just do not understand any problems you have experienced, which in my case is many

20 mile radius around Stoke-on-trent is rubbish after changing my phone 3 times

30 mile radius around Abersoch was excellent until last May then it went to zero coverage!!
I would be talking to a customer or someone else and the call would just disconnect even if the phone reception was good..

Every time I complain some guy in Mumbai offers me another phone and apolgises for the inconvenience, mainly because they do not understand what you are on about....CRAP!! Yesterday, that was after waiting on the phone for 1/1/2 hours!!

After referall discount the phone has cost me nothing in fact I made about £60 over last year ...but I still want OUT!!

Keep well away from 3, unless you live in the city and don`t venture outside into the styx >:(
