Mobiles UK have just posted up the all new Sony Ericssson T290i in a deal which over a twelve month period will cost you nothing... in fact you will make a £18 profit!! A couple of things (or four), Jeewizz:

(1) Aren`t you supposed to tag RPoints posts on this forum? I thought that was the agreed protocol?

(2) Mobiles UK have NOT just posted this deal up - it`s been there for about a month now. It`s just that the handset was originally listed as "coming soon" and, in reality, was actually held up by Orange QA. It then went to "out of stock" because Mobiles UK had exhausted their stock of this handset through taking advance orders while it was "coming soon". So, in reality, the deal hasn`t just miraculously appeared...it`s just that they now have a new consignment of handsets and it`s now listed as "in stock". (3) You could have put a little more effort in and provided fuller details e.g. tariff and cashback schedules - it`s just a little bit of a poor show to advertise RPoints on here without offering something more in the way of useful information in return.

(4) Ditto regarding choice of links. Why is there only an RPoints link offered and no direct link for those that don`t wish to sign up to RPoints?

Tariff: OVP Anytime 100 (£22/month)

Mobiles UK advertises this as 12 months 1/2 price & £150 cashback.
In reality, this is structured as follows:

3 months 1/2 price £(11/month) from Orange - remaining 9 months @ £22/month
£249 cashback from retailer (100% after 7 months)
TOTAL COST (after cashback): MINUS £18
MONTHLY COST (after cashback): MINUS £1.50

Itemised billing is £1.50/month but it is optional (hence not included in the costing above)
Simply cancel it with the service provider (Orange) once you`ve got the phone.

To be fair I`ve noticed in the past that Reestit always makes a point of posting both the affiliate and the non-affiliate links on all his posts, and let`s the reader make up their own mind about which to use. Everything scrupulously above board.

Certain others, ermm, don`t....
