is this a good writer to purchase?ive got a panny dvd recorder that is dvd-r and ram will it be ok for this?what blank media is best to use with it ?is it easy to fit ?

I`ve fot a panny dvd recorder also but i don`t think this drive will read/write to ram discs but it`s fine for dvd-r. I bought an LG writer to do the job which cost me about £55 3months ago so maybe a bit cheaper now.

LG GSA-4163BA Dual Layer Drive from microdirect. Even cheaper now at £34.37 inc vat.

In terms of media, i use panasonic ram discs & dvd-r i use ritek from svp. Always a big debate as regards to what media is best but i personally am happy with the performance of ritek media.
