Superdrug - :/ RW DVD Recorder (USB\Firewire connectivity :/ ) £129 until Monday.

Avious brand name - I know the details are vague, but I onlt saw the poster from the outside not the actual unit.

May be worth a look.

Didnt have any info to take away.

Anyone got the details on specs?

The picture on the poster says Qvious, but on the box it says Avious. The small print on the side gives the contact as ASW H and B.
Can`t remember all the details, but on the side of the box says it is progressive scan, +R/+RW with simultaneous record and playback. Does that mean the same as chase play, or just feeding the signal through to the telly.

I see that Ebuyer have a copy of DVD Recorders at a similar price to the Superdrug one, here and here.

Any comments about these?

Sam

Avious +R(W), Progressive Scan, TV Tuner (Nicam), Firewire, seems to cover all the basics.

Playback of -R should be fine, its only the recording media that you will have a problem with if "incorrect".
