Stormin Deal - Sony Ericsson T610 for £3.95 per month !!

Another stormin deal "pinched" from rpoints http://www.rpoints.com

Amazing deal on a rather nice little phone

FREE Sony Ericsson T610 + 150 Xnet mins + 50 texts = £4.99 per month

If you factor in the £12.50 worth of Rpoints you will get. this takes the cost down to just £3.95 per month !! in other words £47.38 for the whole year!

Tariff is BT Mobiles 150+ Tariff which includes 50 texts, and 150 minutes of talk time per month, which can be used to call all network mobiles and UK landlines any time of day. These minutes and texts can be rolled over for into the next month if not used (1 month max.).

Fantastic I thought. I`ll get one, so followed this through -

First you have to have a BT landline to get the phone
Second you have to follow the e2save link to get the £3.95 equivalent.
Third you have to pay £19.99 per month and then send in various invoices in months 3& 6 to claim back the difference
Fourth after 12 months the charge reverts to £29.99 per month if you forget to cancel in time.
Could see no mention what happens to the handset if you cancel after 12 months.

The `deal` seems very loose and ambiguous. They state the monthly rental is £19.99 but they will reduce it to half price of £4.99.

There`s debate and confusion over whether the "half price" is wrong {do they mean 75% saving :) } or do they mean half price and the monthly rental is £9.99 :(

Who knows?

So tread carefully. :/

Should all be cleared up in the morning by following a quick call to e2save

Beware though, once it is confirmed (and I firmly believe it will be) they`ll be flying out the door like hotcakes.

As for what happens at the end of the contract, well from what I understand the phone is yours to do with as you please from day one (you could even immeditely sell it on eBay if you wish for around £50 profit) just make a note in your diary to cancel the contract in 11 months time (giving one moths notice) and that should be fine. Then all you have to do is search out the best deal at that time and you`ll have a brand spanking new phone and provided you`ve looked after your T610 it should still have some value to someone on eBay ;)

Good spot , Ordered one last night.

Confirmed line rental on phone this morning. £19.99 a month minus refunds of £90 after 3 months and £90 after 6 months which equates to £4.99 a month.

Thanks

And it gets even better

The handset comes unlocked, and amongst the paperwork is a code to get 25 digital photos free from the carphone warehouse photo site.
