Pixmania Discount Voucher

bluetoffee (Harmless) posted this on Monday, 12th July 2004, 12:50

There is a £9 discount voucher code for Pixmania at a site I have an affiliation with. The Pixmania T&Cs for Retrolink.co.uk prevent the code being inserted here, but the code can be viewed at:

www.retrolink.co.uk/link/Pixmania.php

The voucher is only valid until July 16th.

According to here the Neoxeo wont play Xvid, dunno if that makes much difference? And look here for drivers and firmware upgrades. For £42 ya cant go wrong, I have one on the way!

if Xvid playback is important to you then you`d be better paying an extra £8 for the Medion MD40814 from Amazon

Because DivX players are so new I would prerfer one that provides downloadable firmware updates such as the Yamada Dvx-6600 which is available for £59.99 + delivery; see my post
here

pavlovspooch have you seen anything around that would suggest the Neoxeo is a rebadged Yamada 6600?

don`t know TBH but Clayts posted this link to a Doom9 thread about the players using the Mediatek MT1389xx chipset; the Yamada 6600 is there but not the Neoxeo. Also it appears that the 6600 can play Xvid but the Neoxeo cannot. My *guess* is that the Neoxeo is *not* a rebadged Yamada 6600.

Yeah, your probably right. The player from Maplin got some good reviews!

Might take a stroll down to the store and have a ganda!

Cheers pavlovspooch
