That, a good spot ,I presume it`s in the latest Makro mail, you must get yours well before I get mine !!!.
Also I wonder if Richer sounds are still doing their 75`s for £220ish. :D

Ted,

If you can find one, the DVDR75 Region 2 is £199.99 - Can be hacked as well.

£179+VAT looks like more than this. I have found my one very good, well recommended.

Hi

Bought the DVDR75 from Sheffield Richer Sounds on Friday. They had about 3 in but they were going fast. I believe that the 70 does not have the ilink connection on the front, this allows you to connect firewire camcorders direct to the machine for editing etc.. If you want to compare the different models it is quite easily done at philips.co.uk. If you do buy either machine it is worth reading the manual fully as there are lots of great features packed into the machine. Such as splitting titles, adding new recordings into existing titles, both useful if backing up videos of tv series. It enables you leave the tape running and then splitting it into episodes when it is on the disk. Also the disk and title naming functions are excellent.

In short, my dad has the DVDR70 and I have the DVDR75 the extras on the DVDR75 are well worth the extra £20(approx.).
