East Midlands residents - Nottingham Co-op closing down

clayts (Elite) posted this on Tuesday, 23rd January 2001, 19:23

The massive Co-op Department Store on Parliament St, Nottingham is closing down.

(Dead handy - opposite work !)

Lots of TV/VHS bargains, tho` DVD is a little slow coming down at the moment. Keep your beady eye on it tho` - it`s closing very soon (don`t know exact date, but will find out)

eg Daewoo VCRs £80 (new), Aiwa VCR £120, ex-display Panasonic 28 inch widescreen reduced to (gulp) £349 - nearly caused serious damage to my credit card with that one, I can tell you !

I`ll keep you posted if prices really plummet...

My mate got the Home Entertainment Award winning Aiwa 7700 VCR for £107, typically £150....
