Heard on the radio that Amazon have taken 60,000 pre-orders of the book putting it at the No 1 Spot in the book chart.

Tesco`s are taking pre-orders at 55% discount £7.64. They seem to be ensuring they beat the Amazon top 50 book prices by 10%.

Do Tesco take your money now on pre-orders or wait until its been despatched?
Also whats they p&p charges like?

P&P is £2.15 + 60p per item. Don`t know if they charge the credit card immediately but it seems unlikely as they allow you to cancel an order anytime before despatch and they also state that pre-orders may be based on estimated prices and could change upon actual delivery. Both of these conditions would require them to make another credit card adjustment if they took the money in advance.
