Onkyo DVD S535 player RCE problems - H/W mod needed

Hi,

I have an Onkyo DVD S535 player which is multiregion (bought in region 2)... it plays most region 1 DVD`s but there are problems with RCE encoded disks ...

You can use a remote hack to get around this but it can be a bit of a pain especially when trying to access special featuers menus. You can only play the disk using chapter and title select (using the menus returns you to the Region screen).

I assume the only solution to this is a H/W mod ... Does anyone know of such mod kit ?

RE: HELP! Hack needed for Onkyo DVD Player

Hi,

I habe an Onkyo DVD S535 player which is multiregion (bought in region 2)... it plays some Region 1 DVD`s but not others ... presumably this is the efffect of RCE ? ... does your hack work on this player for RCE discs (I was trying to play "Charlies Angels") ... if not are you aware of any that does ?
